Goal

To enable pharmacists to provide proactive medicines optimisation advice for people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and their carers.

Objectives

After studying this module you should be able to:

  • Recognise the early signs and symptoms associated with possible PD and signpost appropriately
  • Identify medicines that may be harmful in PD
  • Plan and conduct a MUR for a person taking levodopa or a dopamine agonist.
