Type 2 diabetes: part one

This module is the first in our CPPE series looking at the role of the pharmacy team in supporting people with type 2 diabetes. It will look at what type 2 diabetes is, its symptoms and management, as well as the importance of structured patient education and glycaemic control.

Learning objectives:

• Have an up-to-date understanding of what type 2 diabetes is and its symptoms
• Understand the benefits of structured patient education
• Be aware of the importance of glycaemic control and HbA1c targets.
