3. Capsules and other presentations such as orodispersible tablets contain 2mg loperamide. (Two products also contain simethicone.) Dose, for adults and children over 12 years, is 4 mg initially, followed by 2 mg after each loose stool. The usual dose is 6mg- 8mg daily. Total daily dose should not exceed 12mg.
4. Packs of 6 capsules and other presentations are GSL, larger packs are P.
