In order to make this information useful and relevant to your work, consider the following:

  • What is earwax and how can it become a problem?
  • Why shouldn't customers use cotton buds and other objects to clean their ears?
  • How would a customer know they had an infection of the outer ear? What questions would you ask?
  • What symptoms suggest a more serious ear problem and would require referral to the pharmacist?
  • A fear of heights is often mistakenly referred to as vertigo. What is the definition of vertigo and how would you explain this to a customer?
  • What self care tips can be recommended to help customers prevent potential ear problems?
