• Is your team aware of the prevalence of allergy?
• Does your team have an understanding of the 'hygiene hypothesis' and the 'old friends' mechanism, as well as their relevance to allergy?
• Can the team give advice on the continuing importance of good hygiene?
• Does your team know the difference between allergy, sensitivity and intolerance?
• Perhaps one or more members of the pharmacy team suffers from an allergy. Discuss how having an allergy affects their daily life. What do they have to avoid €“ perhaps it's pollen, food, drink, or certain cosmetics?
