There are four distinct stages to successfully managing a project (Figure 1). In summary, they are:
- Define – Decide on the scope of the project, its objectives and outcomes
- Develop – Consider options, plan resources and timing, develop a clear plan
- Deliver – Implement with enthusiasm and energy
- Evaluate – Monitor progress and measure the success of your plan and adjust as necessary.
We are going to look at each of these stages in turn.
