This year, the transformation of healthcare has been given an additional push. In primary care, the coronavirus has led to increased take-up of digital approaches to consultations, and patient journeys have changed as a result. Community pharmacy seems to have new possibilities based on those new patient flows. At the same time, pharmacists continue to adapt to more regulations and ongoing financial pressures, while meeting increasing demands within the contractual framework.
In this context, pharmacists and managers need to be able to project manage or apply some of the tools of project management to the process of change in a pharmacy.
