The first three key principles are about you:
- Believe in yourself
If you want to be a pharmacy entrepreneur, you must believe in yourself and what you can achieve.
An entrepreneur is willing to back their judgement with action and hard work. They will have done their research and worked out that the probability of being successful is greatly weighted in their favour. They think positively, but at the same time are realists who will work hard to achieve their goals.
Once you commit to a course of action, you must have the self-belief to go through with it. Being willing to make corrective changes is fine, but doubting your own ability will most probably result in failure.
Think about a golf swing or a serve in tennis. You don’t doubt your ability half way through. You follow through and see the ball hit its target, whether that is the centre of the green or the service court. - Only do what you enjoy
This is the golden rule. You must enjoy what you do. In any business, your personal satisfaction and financial rewards will always depend on what you put into it. If you don’t enjoy what you are doing, then you will never succeed. Think about how many successful people say they are pleased to have found work they can approach like a hobby, not a chore. - Think positively
Having a positive mental attitude in business is a must. A positive attitude breeds positive actions across any business.
In turn, this will empower every member of your team. As a local business reliant on interactions with the public, it is more important for your pharmacy business to portray a positive image in the community it serves.
