Goal

To give an overview of tobacco harm reduction and how pharmacists can incorporate harm reduction approaches into their daily practice as regards helping people to quit smoking.

Objectives

After completing this module you should be able to:

  • Describe what is meant by harm reduction in relation to smoking
  • Understand the key points in the NICE guidance on harm reduction approaches to smoking and how they might apply in practice.
