- The revalidation process provides a way to show the general public that their trust in pharmacy professionals is well-placed
- For the first year (2018), the GPhC requires four CPD entries, at least two of which must be planned learning activities. These must be submitted online at the same time as registration renewal
- Four CPD entries, a peer discussion and a reflective account will then be required after the first year
- Individuals must choose their own peers for the peer discussion and must trust and respect this individual
- Reflective accounts are based on real examples of practice to illustrate how the individual met the selected GPhC standards.
Reflective exercise
Reflection on best practice will improve patient experience. Consider:
- Who the users of your service are
- How could standards of (e.g.) effective communication be met within your role?
- What examples can you recall that meet one or more of the GPhC’s professional standards?
