Emma, 15, comes to the pharmacy to ask if you have something for the mild acne on her forehead. She has had it since she was 13. She is going to be a bridesmaid at a family wedding in a few months time and wants to look her best. Emma says she doesn't want something that will interact with make-up. Consider:

  • What further questions would you ask Emma?
  • What would you recommend? Are you confident that you can advise Emma on how to use the product you have recommended?
  • What do you know about using acne products with make-up? Which are the appropriate ones to use? Which type of make-up should Emma use?
  • What follow-up might you offer Emma and how would you advise her if the treatment does not work?
