Once you clearly understand your workload and the capability of your team, you can start to re-engineer how you work so that you are more effective and can potentially cut staff costs.

The simplest way to re-engineer is to look at your workload profile and your staffing profile. Are they similar or do you seem to have too many staff at quiet times and too few at busy times? Aligning these profiles might allow savings to be made by adjusting staff hours.

You need to challenge assumptions about what you do and how you do it. Would it be more efficient to separate repeat dispensing from walk-in dispensing?

Rearranging your team to have more resources available in the morning, to operate as a dedicated repeat dispensing team led by an ACPT, with fewer staff available in the afternoon to manage the walk in dispensing, may be more efficient and need fewer resources.
